Dr Anna West is a Comfort Scientist at W. L. Gore & Associates in Munich, Germany. Working within Gore’s Fabrics Division, she connects laboratory testing and evaluation of GORE-TEX products and technologies with the physiological needs and real-world experiences of end users. With a background in thermal and exercise physiology, Anna’s work focuses on clothing performance in environmental extremes. She has worked with NATO and military organisations to evaluate cold-weather clothing systems, translating physiological and laboratory evidence into operationally relevant insights to support clothing-system decisions. Her work combines laboratory evaluation, physiological modelling and field experience to understand how clothing can better protect and sustain personnel operating in extreme environments.
