Lessons from Ukraine: Contemporary Warfare and National Defence Adaptation
Drawing on extensive experience supporting Ukrainian defence reform since 2014, Lt Col (Ret.) Glen Grant examines how the war in Ukraine is reshaping national defence, force structures and operational thinking.
The presentation addresses the organisational impact of unmanned systems and robotics, changing command structures, coordination requirements and the emergence of new personnel competencies required for future conflicts.
Mountain operations remain one of the most demanding military environments.
This presentation explores how altitude, weather, communications, mobility, logistics and emerging technologies — including autonomous systems — are transforming operational performance.
It discusses how future mountain forces must adapt while preserving the enduring principles of mountain warfare.
