Tactical Mobility C-UAS Mission System Integration Modular Systems UGV Integration Field Validation

Piotr Tłuszcz is a co-founder of Da Orffo Automotive. He is responsible for product development, application concepts, mission system integration, and cooperation with industrial partners and end users.

His work focuses on the development of lightweight off-road towed platforms and modular mobility systems for specialist and defence applications. His areas of responsibility include the design, development and field validation of Da Orffo solutions, including the UNIT1 Tactical Towed Platform and the Life Chariot casualty evacuation system, intended for operation in difficult terrain and for cooperation with both manned and unmanned vehicles.

In 2023, he became the International Winner of the James Dyson Award for the Life Chariot project. The project was developed in response to the limited availability of medical vehicles on the front line in Ukraine and resulted in a lightweight towed platform for civilian vehicles, followed by the production and delivery of two evacuation units for operations in the Donbas.

Da Orffo Automotive

Tactical Mobility · Modular Integration · Mission Adaptability

Da Orffo Automotive is a Polish company developing a proprietary Tactical Mobility System based on lightweight tactical towed platforms.

Da Orffo solutions use a standardised base platform and interchangeable integration modules, allowing the same carrier to support different mission systems, including medical evacuation, logistics, sensors, communications, reconnaissance and C-UAS systems.

The platforms can operate with off-road vehicles, pick-ups, ATVs and UGVs, allowing the towing vehicle to be selected according to the mission phase, terrain and operational conditions.

Product design and development, system integration, final assembly and quality control are carried out by Da Orffo. Production is performed entirely in Poland in cooperation with a specialised network of industrial partners.

PRESENTATION
Mobile, Modular Counter-UAS Capability: Da Orffo Tactical Mobility + Moog FMP Mission Integration

The Da Orffo Tactical Mobility System uses lightweight towed platforms with a standardised base interface for interchangeable integration modules. Dedicated module interfaces allow different mission systems—including radars, sensors, electronic warfare systems and kinetic effectors—to use the same platform.

By separating chassis, integration module and payload, mission configurations can be changed without replacing the carrier. The platform can operate with UGVs, pick-ups, ATVs and other tactical vehicles selected according to mission phase, terrain and threat.

Payload, module, platform and towing vehicle therefore become interchangeable elements that commanders can configure according to operational requirements, reducing reliance on dedicated carriers and increasing operational and logistical flexibility.

Operational example: MOOG FMP integrated on the UNIT1 Tactical Towed Platform illustrates this mobile C-UAS concept.
