Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Artur Zielichowski, PhD is a Polish Armed Forces officer and Head of the Military Leadership Department at the General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces in Wrocław.

He is a graduate of the Land Forces Officer School, specialising in armour, and of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where he studied pedagogy and social rehabilitation.

He earned his doctorate in security studies from the War Studies University in 2020.

Lieutenant Colonel Zielichowski gained combat experience as a platoon leader and company commander during the I and IX rotations of the Polish Military Contingent in Afghanistan and within EU Battlegroup structures.

He was among the pioneers involved in fielding the Rosomak wheeled armoured vehicle. His service has been recognised with several distinctions, including the U.S. Commendation Medal and the title of Best Officer of the 17th Mechanized Brigade and the 11th Armoured Cavalry Division.

In 2025, he received an award from the Minister of National Defence.

His academic and teaching activities focus on military leadership, tactics and systems for assessing command potential.

He established the “Tor Lider” Command Competence Development Centre, initiated implementation of the Assessment and Development Center methodology at the Land Forces Academy, and co-developed the initial editions of the “Agrykola” Course.

He actively supports international cooperation through initiatives including the International Military Leadership Academy project, cooperation with the Offizierschule des Heeres, the IMLC and the Erasmus+ programme.

He is the author of numerous publications on tactics, contemporary conflicts and Lessons Learned. He is also an endurance sports enthusiast and winner of the Commando Grand Slam 2025.
