4th Mountain Warfare Concept Development Conference completed
On 1 October, the 4th Mountain Warfare Concept Development Conference concluded its work. The conference brought together members of the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence (MW COE), experts in the field of Mountain Warfare from Germany, Italy and France, and a member of the NATO Security Force Assistance Centre of Excellence in Rome.
The purpose of the conference was to review the draft NATO Mountain Warfare Concept, which enables the next step in the concept development process, namely the implementation of an experiment to test the capabilities of Mountain Warfare.
This experiment will be carried out by the MW COE in cooperation with the Slovenian Armed Forces and the NATO Modelling and Simulation Centre of Excellence in the first half of 2021. It will serve as the basis for creating the final version of the Mountain Warfare Concept.
