Aim:
The aim and purpose of this battlefield tour is to bring together NATO & Partners HQ core teams to highlight MW battles in history and assess the implications for mountain warfare today and in the future.
Objectives:
- Analyze the historical battles fought
- Extract key lessons that will guide future joint operations in mountain warfare,
- Enhance strategic understanding and improve the effectiveness of future military engagements in similar environments.
Activities:
- On sight analysis on historical mountain warfare operations
- Expert briefings and guided discusions linking historical lessons to NATO´s modern operational framework
- Historical or/and conteporary “Kriegspiel” type wargame
- Visits to area brigade-level and higher HQs to discus roles, missions and interoperability within NATO´s deterrence and defense posture
Fee: 200€/pax
(Fee includes transport in Romania, museum guided tours tickets, guides/experts, study material, conference room)
