High Level Visit to the NATO MW COE

While attending the annual Bled Strategic Forum which was first launched in 2006 with a vision to bring together decision-makers from different fields, to encourage open debate on contemporary political, security and development challenges, and to search new ideas and solutions, a delegation of Canada with the Speaker of the Senate of Canada Honourable George J. Furey, Honourable Senators, and other distinguished guest of Canada, as well as a delegation of the Republic of Slovenia including the President of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia Mr Matija Bervar and the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Canada visited NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence (MW COE) on 7 September 2016.

The visit purpose was to present the NATO MW COEs activities and find a possible way to develop cooperation at international level.

The NATO MW COE Director, Colonel Boštjan Blaznik briefed both delegations on the centre and its areas of work, upon which a constructive debate developed on future opportunities.[envira-gallery id=”2113″]
