NATO MW COE and EU MTI Working Meeting

[envira-gallery id=”460″]Based on the internationally expressed need to enhance the mountain warfare, two institutions have been established during last years. NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence (NATO MW COE) and European Union Mountain Training Initiative (EU MTI). Both institutions address the same expertize area, however their final products are oriented to other, but complementary fields. Synergy of efforts as expressed by EU MTI representative at the 2nd NATO MW COE Steering Committee session, is a key to success in international environment. The idea to meet occasionally has been accepted by both institutions as an opportunity to discuss current and future cooperation options.

The NATO MW COE and EU MTI 1st Working Meeting, which started in Poljče, on 28 January, continued in the Završnica mountain hut. EU MTI Head of delegation, LTC Matthias Ritz, expressed satisfaction on opportunity to meet and COL Boštjan Blaznik presented the overview of collaboration options between two present institutions.

Both heads of the delegations expressed satisfaction due to reached meeting objectives and their will to foster this form of information exchange in the future.
