NATO MW COE – EU P&S MTI 2nd Workshop in Austria
Between 7 and 8 June 2017, the newly established Mountain Warfare Command of the Austrian Armed Forces hosted the 2nd Workshop of the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence (NATO MW COE) and the European Union Pooling & Sharing Mountain Training Initiative (EU P&S MTI). This event, a follow-up event to the working meeting held in January 2016 in Slovenia, was participated by key players of the NATO MW COE with the purpose to strengthen the established co-operation between both organizations. The main topics covered LI/LL, Info-management, Education and Training and the NATO MW COE standardization pillars. The event was certainly a major success for both organizations in terms of defining concrete proposals for reciprocal sharing MW-related know-how and products, as well as participation in exercises and courses. The workshop was also a clear indication of a positive approach to a common active involvement in the “Mountain Community”.[envira-gallery id=”1689″]
