SVK Defence Policy Director in NATO MW COE
On Thursday, 20th October, the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence (NATO MW COE) hosted Mr. Oleg Hvasi, the Defence Policy Director from the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic.
Colonel Boštjan Blaznik, the NATO MW COE Director, with his staff, briefed the guest on the Centre’s main activities, showcasing the Branch`s work scope, projects focus, as well as future challenges and opportunities.
Moreover, the efforts of the NATO MW COE were explained in terms of how the Centre differs from other MW-related COI institutions and is directed to the Alliance level with focus on both, combined as well as joint training in mountainous environment.
The purpose of the visit was to get a comprehensive picture about the activities of the NATO MW COE by also presenting possible ways of cooperation.
Standard mountaineering equipment was presented at the end of the brief.
