Visit by the Ambassador of the CZE in NATO MW COE

On 31 August, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, H.E. Juraj Chmiel paid a visit to the NATO MW COE.

The visit was hosted by the Director of the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence (MW COE), COL Borut Flajšman, accompanied by Deputy Director COL Ruggero Cucchini who shared, together with staff members, a short brief on the MW COE, followed by a presentation of the MW COE.

During the presentation, the NATO MW COE’s role and visibility as a “hub” in the area of Mountain Warfare expertise was highlighted. Colonel Flajšman stressed the importance of Mountain Warfare Standards` development, doctrine-related development, capabilities and capacities development with options for improvement and cooperation within the Alliance.
