One of the NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence’s (MW COE) tasks is to foster and maintain cooperation with the Community of Interest. Among the other partners, the national Military Mountain Schools are one of the most important actors. In this regard, Lieutenant Colonel Andreas Bockmann, the German Mountain- and Winter Warfare Training Base Commander, paid a visit to the NATO MW COE between 30th and 31st January, 2017.
The main purpose of the visit was to present the NATO MW COE’s activities, as well as to discuss the possibility of enhancing cooperation between the two institutions. The NATO MW COE Deputy Director, Colonel Alberto Zamboni, briefed the guest on the Centre’s mission and vision, current work, as well as future projects, highlighting the development of the ATrainP-6 as this year`s main effort.
