European Mountain Thunder 2022 – Day 3

On the 3rd day of the European Mountain Thunder 22 exercise, all national representatives and senior officers of the Austrian Armed Forces were briefed on the basic course of activities and, in particular, the purpose of this international exercise.

The 6th Mountain Brigade emphasized the challenge of organizing the logistics, above all the supply of the soldiers in the high mountains. This briefing was then rounded off with a practical demonstration. It was practically demonstrated that supply in the mountains has to be tailor-made and that many different systems have to interlock.

Of course, there was also sufficient time for intensive technical discussions among all the national representatives.
